[:en]The European Automotive Research Partners Association (EARPA) will bring together stakeholders from industry, academia and government to share of knowledge and inspire new solutions in relation to the Future of Road Mobility at the EGG in Brussels in October. Each year EARPA arranges an open meeting on a theme of importance to its members, who are the research and technology organizations working in the field of road transportation.
This year’s meeting is being extended to become a forum for exchange about the future of road mobility (hence the name “FORM forum”). This meeting will serve as motivation for the continued innovation in the automotive industry through research. The meeting agenda includes keynote speeches and technical paper presentations (from leading companies representing all aspects of the industry), young researcher pitches for support of brand new ideas in the field of road mobility (from EARPA’s university members) and a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Neville Jackson (Ricardo) including representatives from both the Commission and various mobility interest groups.
In addition, for the first time, there will be an exhibition about the recent research results of many EARPA members: these will be in the form of hardware, including several novel vehicle demonstrators, and software displays, showing how digitalization is shaking up the mobility landscape.
Fraunhofer Institute of Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF, Germany, will present its air-cooled drive unit with adaptive damper and “GEV/|one” a new vehicle concept with electric traction.
More than one hundred and fifty participants are expected at this open meeting, giving an opportunity for all to network and discuss ideas for responding to the societal challenges in the domain of transportation. More information, including registration details, can be found on the conference website: http://www.earpa.eu/earpa/formforum.[:]
